How's it going, eh? My name's Bruce, and I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I went to veterinary school in Prince Edward Island at the Atlantic
Veterinary College. I have worked in Vermont at Eastwood Animal Clinic
for about 13 years, originally for Dr. Blair Campbell. I purchased the
practice in 2005 and now I am going completely bald. I have a
Bullmastiff named Ezra, and two cats, one Bengal named Zeke, and an
Abyssinian named Zelda. I find being a veterinarian in Vermont very
rewarding, although I've always aspired to be a professional bike rider
with Lance Armstrong, or at least clean his bike. I would like to see my
practice grow exponentially because I think clients enjoy coming to the
practice.
Hello. My
name Kathleen, originally from Baltimore, MD. I'm a recent graduate of
Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, and I'm the new
veterinarian here at Eastwood. I've been working at Eastwood since
August of 2007. I have three dogs, Lakota, a husky mix, Nika, another
husky mix, and Mateo (Sharkie), who is a retired sled dog. I also have
two cats, Rudy and Frederick (aka Dennis the Menace). I am enjoying
working at Eastwood, as well as the mountains and the abundance of snow.
Hi, my name is Christine; I have been working at Eastwood since late
August of 2007. At the clinic, you will find me out back taking care of
all the animals that are boarding, and helping out clients. I have only
one dog, a five year old energetic black lab named "Jenny." I am a
current student of Rutland High School, and I plan to go to college for
equestrian studies. In my free time I love to horseback ride, hang out
with friends, and play the piano.
Hello. I'm Dave. I have been at Eastwood since November
2005. I most frequently can be found doing lab work and odd jobs
around the practice. Prior to working at Eastwood I spent time in the
Marine Corps as an aviation ordnance technician. I have more schooling
in my future. I have had Boston terriers for numerous years and have a
Shih tzu.
Hi, I'm Erynn. I am currently going to a Paul Mitchell school in Tampa,
Florida. Here at Eastwood I take care of the animals that are boarding.
I have two dogs, Charger, a German shepherd, and a Rat terrier named
Dexter James. I also have a horse named Pedro, a cow named Susie Moo,
and a goat named Caboodles.
Hi, I'm Jeanie. I working
have been at Eastwood for 11 years as a
veterinary technician. I graduated from Vermont Technical College with
an Associates in Applied Science degree majoring in veterinary
technology. I love animals, watching movies, and of course, the Red Sox.
I have three cats, Ally and Snickers, and my new kitten, Lacey.
Hey my name is Jessica. I have worked at Eastwood for a year.
I graduated from the Vet Tech program at Vermont Tech, and I am now a
certified vet tech. I have two animals, a dog named Tanner and a
horse, Montana. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my
animals, and having fun with friends.
Hey, I'm Matt. I have been working at Eastwood since I was 14,
way back when in 2002. I graduated from Rutland High School and now
attend University of Delaware as an animal science/pre-vet major,
biology minor. I have
two Australian shepherds, Indie and Teddy. I show in conformation, obedience, agility, and herding.
I was first in agility at a national specialty in Georgia, and showed
winner's dog at a specialty in Missouri. I also enjoy hiking,
hanging out with my friends, and designing this website for Eastwood. I hope to attend
veterinary school after graduating from college.
Hi, my name is Maria. I graduated from the University of NH with a
B.S. Degree in Animal Science: Production and Agribusiness. For the next
13 years, I worked as an Equestrian Direction in the hospitality
business. In 2004, I left my Equine Career, and started a new career in
the veterinary field. In my free time, I enjoy horseback riding, cross
country skiing, and snow shoeing. I have two dogs (Kiwi and Bella), four
cats (Nemo, Mirage, Meeka, and Chloe), and a horse (Phantom).
Hi, My name is Sara and I've been at Eastwood for just a few months.
My goal is to attend veterinary school in the next couple of years, so I
enjoy all aspects of working with the animals here at Eastwood and am
constantly looking to expand my knowledge and interest in animal
medicine. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2004 with a B.S.
in Environmental Studies and spent the next two years in Lake Tahoe, CA
working as a veterinary technician and enjoying the spectacular area. I
spend my time outside of work with my two girls, Tala, a 4-yr old Aussie
Shep mix, and Kaya, a 2-yr old Pit Mix, and I enjoy hiking, skiing and
snowboarding, snowshoeing, kayaking, reading, crocheting, and am doing
my best to learn to play the mandolin.
Hey all! My name is Tara. I have working at Eastwood Animal Clinic
since May 2001 doing anything from answering phones, helping clients,
cleaning kennels, walking dogs, lab work, and aiding the vets in various
procedures. It has been a great learning experience. Prior to my
employment, I attended the University of Vermont majoring in Biological
sciences and pre-veterinary medicine. In my last year at UVM I
participated in an internship in the Florida Keys at the Dolphin
Research Center working with dolphins and sea lions. It was the most
amazing time of my life!!! I was even able to see a dolphin being born!!
In my spare time back here in VT, I enjoy hiking, snow shoeing,
snowboarding, reading, texting, shopping, energy drinks, and hanging out
with my Chihuahua, Reese. I also have a cat (Noah), a hedgehog (Hedgie),
fish, and share my boyfriend's English Cocker Spaniel, Freddy!!!
Hey, I'm Taryn!
I've been working at Eastwood since August '05, doing mostly
receptionist work. I graduated from Saint Michael's College with a BA in
psychology, but my passion in life is animals. I am a proud owner of a
Chihuahua, Halle, a Golden retriever, Madison, and three cats, Carmen, Natasha
and Paris. I also own a lobster and fish, and I breed mice. I plan on going
back to school to get my doctorate in psychology to be a marriage and
family counselor (so I can afford my dream car - a pink Porsche
convertible!), but will never stop working with animals. I would also
like to become a breeder someday, and have a house full of pets! Aside
from animals, my other favorite things include singing/dancing, coffee,
the color pink, shopping, and reading.
